COMPETITION INFORMATION

#eCTF2025 10 Years in the Making

Join us in celebrating 10 years of MITRE’s eCTF! This year we will be promoting and acknowledging how much the competition has grown, as well as highlighting milestones related to student participants, schools who regularly compete, and more! Be sure to check back here for updated information.

eCTF Timeline

Early September: eCTF Registration officially opens

Mid-October: MITRE sponsor recognition begins over social posts and email mentions

January 15: eCTF officially kicks off with the design phase

April 16: eCTF scoreboard closes and Poster Session is scheduled

April 25: eCTF Award Ceremony and final winners announced

End of April: eCTF 2025 Press Release published

MITRE Embedded Capture the Flag™ (eCTF) branding require specific usage guidelines. 

Please make use of the below requirements when including MITRE Engenuity and/or eCTF branding in public-facing deliverables.

These approved assets can be used publicly.

This 2024 Sizzle Reel can be used publicly.

Official eCTF Logos for usage; these may NOT be altered.

YOU MAY
  • Use any provided MITRE news release (press) kits.
  • Create social media posts using the MITRE example social posts as templates, provided in the downloadable Toolkit above.
  • Submit content requiring approval (News Releases, marketing collateral, and quotes) to the eCTF team. News Releases will be reviewed by MITRE.
  • MITRE may, in some cases, collaborate with media engagements related to eCTF. Send requests to the eCTF team.
  • eCTF sponsors are encouraged to link to the MITRE eCTF webpage in News Releases and other materials. Links are provided under Additional Resources: Relevant Links.

  • Make any statement that implies, suggests, or reflects that MITRE endorses any organization, professional or personal actions, views, or political statements.
  • Make claims about eCTF if they did not come directly from MITRE.
  • Re-publish, quote, or cite eCTF-related content without prior approval from MITRE. This also applies to any quotes or graphics your firm may supply to third parties such as agencies, press, bloggers, or media.
